Champs-Elysées Christmas market will be cancelled

The Christmas market on Champs-Elysées is an extremely popular tourist destination around the time of Christmas. The market is visited by milions of tourists every year. However, this year, it will be cancelled, report from The Local

The decision to cancel the market was made by City Hall councillors with an argument that it is more important to improve the quality of what the market offers.

The decision, however, was met with protests. Some of the main boulevards of Paris were blocked which caused huge traffic jams.

Hopes are that next year the Christmas market wil offer higher quality products made in France.
