Santas from all over the world usually take part in the competition
Every year for the last 14 years, in the small town of Gällivare, Sweden, hundreds of Santas gathed to take part in the annual Santa World Cup competition. The copetitors measured their skills in several Christmas-related categories such as Christmas tree decoration, preparation of the best present wrap, even dances.
As, however, Gällivare has been rapidly developing in terms of urbanization, this year's edition of the competition had to be cancelled. Fortunately, local authorities are not considering to stop organizing the event whatsoever. Plans are to keep in touch with the Santas and inform them about the next competition.
