The new LIFE calls are now open for application; see what is in for you and your organisation
Over 33 calls are currently open under the LIFE programme of the European Union. This means over 33 opportunities to apply and receive EU funds for projects in the fields of environmental protection. See how you can benefit and where to find more information.
The list of the first open calls for project proposals under the new LIFE programme is already quite long. The published 2021 calls make over 580 million euros available, in the form of grants (non-reimbursable support).
Up until today, 33 calls are open and they can be viewed on the Funding and Tenders portal of the European Commission. This is the go-to-place if you want to learn details of each call, such as what kind of activities are funded, which organisations or individuals are eligible to receive funding, how much they should contribute, and the possibility to form partnerships, among others.
Also, as a final step, this is the place where organisations can apply directly after having thought out their ideas and are ready to compete for EU funding. Currently, there are open calls under five topics:
For each of them, the European Commission has organised informational sessions, where prospective applicants can find out detailed information on the application process, evaluation of proposals and how to make their applications more competitive. A full list with presentations and recordings of these info sessions is available here, on the website of the European Commission.
If you are interested in receiving European funds to make Europe greener and future-proof, wait no more – check out the requirements and start preparing your proposal.
