Joint ETUCE-ETUI training workshop on ICT for inclusive education in Lisbon
The Education Department of the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) will organize a joint workshop with the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) on “Education trade unions promoting ICT for inclusive education”, which will be held from 25 to 27 April 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The overall aim is to exchange and disseminate “best practices” on digital and ICT training for teachers and to empower education trade unions to acknowledge and react to the impact of digitization in the education sector from an inclusiveness standpoint.
The training course will cover various sub-topics such as ICT teacher training; digital citizenship and the use of ICT for disadvantaged students; the identification and assessment of teachers’ ICT training needs and demands; information accessibility; MOOCs and online courses for social inclusion; innovative teaching digital skills and coding; robotics and emerging technological trends in education; learning analytics and profiling as well as new benchmarks for digital competences and approaches of teachers.
