Slovak towns will celebrate International Tourist Guide Day with free tours. Slovakia marks the International Tourist Guide Day for the 16th time. To celebrate it, dozens of cities across the country will offer free tours between February 17 and March 2. The main philosophy of the International Tourist Guide Day is for cities to offer their services for free once a year.
The cities that will take part in the initiative are Bardejov, Poprad-Veľká, Spišská Nová Ves, Banská Bystrica, Bratislava, Malacky, Marrtin, Ružomberok, Skalica, Trnava, Poprad, Nitra and Poprad-Kletnica. Visitors to Bratislava and Košice can expect new types of tours, which will also be given in several foreign languages - in Bratislava in German, English, Russian and Spanish and in Košice in English and Hungarian.
