StartUp Europe Awards is an initiative of the European Commission and Finnova Foundation, supported by the President of the European Parliament, the President of the Committee of the Regions, the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Committee and several members from the European Parliament. SEUA recognizes the effort of European startups in 18 categories - Creative, Energy, Fintech, Green, e-Health, IoT, Smart Cities, Social Innovation, Tourism, Water, Agritech, Legal, Space, Cibersecurity, Climate, Fashion, Edtech and Gastronomy; in five geographical levels (Local, County, Regional, National and European).
StartUp Europe Awards is a contest of contests, therefore, startups cannot apply directly for the European final of the StartUp Europe Awards without having contesting at a national level. The conditions and requirements to apply depend on each country organizers, but winning a national contest will instantly means that you are bound to the European final. This event is an extremely useful tool to build the European ecosystem connecting all the players across the continent.
