The Sardine Festival in Leiria starts in a week

With a new format, the event doubles its duration for two weekends - from 5th to 8th and from 12th to 15th of July

This year, the Sardine Festival will be served in a double dose on Pedrógão beach. With a new format, the event doubles its duration for two weekends - from 5^th to 8^th and from 12^th to 15^th of July.  There is also another new aspect of the festival and namely the ecological one. The participants are committed to separate and recycle the garbage, in order to minimize the ecological footprint of the event.

In this year's edition, a great bet is placed on musical program. The festival brings together great names of Portuguese music to the menu: José Cid, Toy, Apparatus and GNTK. Apart from the main concerts, at 10:30 pm there will also be space for demonstrations of Leiria’s traditional culture and local bands. For those who do not want to miss the World Cup in Russia, we will have a giant screen with broadcast of the games.
