Over 300 bird species come every year to the Somme Bay. The festival promotes this well-preserved natural heritage so that visitors can all explore and enjoy it
Spring is the best time for birdwatching, and this annual festival offers nine days of immersion in nature for the whole family. The 28th edition of The Bird and Nature Festival in the Somme Bay starts on 21st and it could be seen until 29th of April. This year during the festival, visitors can choose from nearly 400 guided tours on foot, horseback, in dugouts or on bicycles, to explore the wonders of nature.
The Festival organises events such as bird watching tours, workshops for kids, wildlife documentary viewings, art exhibitions and more. The Bird and Nature Festival also holds two international competitions: a photo competition and a film competition. They are open to professionals and amateurs, even children! The aim of these contests is to use photography as a teaching and visual support, to promote the knowledge of birds and thus promote the commitment to their protection
