Travel made easy with Croatia’s largest parking app

Travel made easy with Croatia’s largest parking app

PayDo has seen a massive boom since the end of the lockdown as more and more tourists have been arriving in the country and using its services

Croatia’s tourism sector has so far successfully been managing to cope with the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic and that is owed to a wide slate of reasons – ranging from the excellent offers by tourism establishments across the country, the high quality of services presented by them, the government’s active role in safeguarding the industry during the worst months of the crisis – and last, but not least, many smart solutions that have made travelling through Croatia a breeze.

A recipe for success

PayDo is by far Croatia’s largest parking app – and it has been experiencing a massive boom ever since the country’s authorities first began easing lockdown restrictions. In the first months of the pandemic, the app entered into a steep decline, as travel was greatly discouraged and thus parking ticket sales were almost nonexistent.

For the last couple of months, however, the increased influx of foreign arrivals and domestic travellers has helped PayDo reach unprecedented heights, with the app boasting over 200,000 users in more than 77 Croatian cities. It is interesting to note that the largest number of new and active users can be found around coastal and recreational areas, further pointing to the fact that Croatia’s tourism industry is on the path to recovery.

Not only has use of the app increased throughout the entire country, but its popularity – and its convenience and undeniable health benefits (more specifically, the fact that it allows for easy and contactless payment) have led to the app becoming the most widely used method of paying for parking in a number of Croatia’s most visited regions – such as Rovinj, Pula, Fazana and others.

By combining convenience, smart solutions, good governance and an excellent business approach, Croatia is most certainly at the forefront when it comes to Europe’s tourism reboot.
