The placement of the solar panels contributes to a reduction of the CO2 footprint. Moreover, it offers the potential to enhance research and education component of faculties involved. Besides the University of Utrecht UMC Utrecht will also put solar panels on their roofs in the coming months. This makes Utrecht Science Park De Uithof the largest area of solar panels in Utrecht and one of the top projects in the Netherlands.
