Mayor Henrik Rasmussen will join citizens on a cycling journey as their guide
This year, the Finnish City of Vallensbæk is offering its residents an exciting experience throughout the spring and summer seasons. More specifically, the municipality invites all of its citizens to spend time in nature and exercise alongside the Mayor of Vallensbæk, Henrik Rasmussen.
From May until August, individuals and families can cycle around the municipality with Mayor Rasmussen as their guide. The next bike ride will reportedly take place on Sunday 30 May and both children and adults are invited to participate.
According to a press release by the municipality, the bike ride will begin at Vallensbæk Idrætscenter, Idræts Allé 2, at 10 am. After a few hours of cycling with the Mayor and enjoying the nature of Vallensbæk, the cycling journey will come to an end. However, the adventure will not stop there as residents will then be able to have lunch alongside Mayor Rasmussen at the city’s sports centre in Café Svanen.
Those who are interested in taking part in this activity must register by signing up for the bike ride on the municipality’s website. When registering, it is important that participants include the number of people that will be attending (both children and adults). Although it is possible to participate without registering your interest, the municipality asks everyone to sign up in advance in order to ensure that the trip is carefully planned out beforehand.
The municipality guarantees that one does not have to be a professional in order to participate. That is, the group will ride at a leisurely pace and it will have several rest stops along the way. In addition to this, water and fruits will be offered throughout the ride. Therefore, everyone is welcome to enjoy the fresh air and experience something new.
The building will then serve as the site for a new museum dedicated to Finnish-Russian relations
