The underground rapid transit lines have been under construction for almost two decades due to various project delays
The experience is unique for Czechia and Central Europe
Do you believe that an animal's place is not in a cage? Do you despise how zoos treat wildlife? If the answer is yes, then this place might be perfect for you. Earlier this week Brno (Czechia) opened a virtual zoo exhibition where everyone can admire animals and learn about them without troubling their natural lifestyle.
Using state-of-the-art technology, in the virtual exhibition you will experience wilderness "first hand". Visit the African savannah, rainforest or look under the sea and immerse yourselves in the natural world. Visitors sit on a swivel chair, put on special glasses and find themselves among the animals immediately.
The films come from the workshop of Wild Immersion and the innovative experience is offered by Brno Zoo in cooperation with the groundbreaking Wild Immersion project, whose patron is the world-famous primatologist and conservationist Jane Goodall.
“It will be a unique experience in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. We want to accommodate those who are not interested in going to the zoo because the animals are in paddocks and have the opportunity to spend the whole day, for example, in the open plains or rain forest. There are no boundaries in the Virtual Expedition, and people can imagine being in the immediate vicinity of diverse animals around the world, and in stunning environments,” said Martin Hovorka, Director of the Brno Zoo for the municipal portal.” Our goal is not just to show how it looks elsewhere in the world. We would like to raise people's interest in nature, its diversity, and above all in the protection of endangered species,” he continued.
Visit the permanent Virtual Zoo exhibition on Radnická 6, Brno (next to the Old Town Hall) every day except for Monday. More information on admissions can be found through this link.
