What do we have to know about breast cancer?

This Luxembourgish community organises an information conference on the pertinent topic of health woman’s health

The Municipality of Frisange, Luxembourg invites you to the conference on the topic "Healthy lifestyles: Cancer prevention - What do you need to know?” The event is organized by the Commission for Equal Opportunities with the Municipality of Frisange.

Visitors will have the opportunity to attend the presentation of Mrs. Astrid Scharpantgen, Graduate nurse e.r. and personal testimonials this Tuesday, 11.12.2018 at 19:00. Europa Donna Luxembourg, a coalition against breast cancer, will also be presented. After the educative part, a pot will be offered by the Equal Opportunities Commission.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. It is estimated that one in nine women will be diagnosed with cancer during her lifetime and it will turn out fatal for one in 27 women. Although symptoms are more common after the age of 50, prophylaxis is highly recommended for younger women too.
