Share your thoughts on how the European funds can work better for you and people like you
Euro Advance Association through www.TheMayor.EU, and in partnership with the European Youth Forum, are preparing to host a session at the 20th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) – one of the most prominent events dedicated to cohesion policy and development of European regions and cities.
Titled “Youth Empowerment can’t wait for the future”, the session will gather prominent European and local policymakers, representatives of academia and young people, to discuss and debate the achievements of cohesion policy for the past 20 years and how European funds can work better for the development of young people.
As a first step in the preparation, we are asking you – the young people of Europe – to share your thoughts and experiences with EU funds and cohesion policy and contribute to a vibrant debate. So please spare 2 minutes to fill in our survey on this link.
The answers will be presented at our session on 12 October 2022, from 14:30 to 16:00 CET (Brussels time) and will serve as a starting point for the discussion.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is taking place between 10 and 13 October in Brussels and online. The event has grown into a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including politicians, administrators, experts and academics. Over the last 19 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and the exchange of good practices.
Our high-level workshop on Youth Empowerment will feature Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Ricardo Rio, Mayor of Braga – European Youth Capital for 2012. It will also present the voices of 50 young people, who have filled out the survey.
To join us, you need to save the date 12 October, 14:30, when our session will take place in a digital format. Registrations for EURegionsWeek open on 31 August on the official website of the event.
