Thomas Vints

Thomas Vints (cd&v) is the Mayor of Beringen since Jan 1, 2019. His responsibilities include:

• Safety and Prevention
• Communication
• Poverty
• General policy

Born in 1987, Thomas Vints learns the first lessons in leadership upon joining the scouts and even before entering politics. He has always had the attitude to help people move forward and solve problems.

In 2012 he is a trade union secretary at AVC Public Services in Brussels and gets elected as a municipal councillor in Beringen. Next year he becomes a communications officer at Wouter Beke's staff department. Between 2014 – 2016 Vints is a provincial secretary for CD&V Limburg and between 2016 – 2018 Alderman at the City Beringen for welfare and education.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a master’s degree in Government Management and Policy from KU Leuven.
