Ivan Aleksiev

The mayor of Pomorie Ivan Aleksiev was born on 25.07.1965. He graduated from the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv as a technical engineer, specializing in Technology of Microbiological and Fermentation Products. From January 2008 to July 2009 he was the deputy mayor responsible for Tourism in Pomorie Municipality, and from July 2009 to November 2011 he was an MP in the 41st NA and a deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Water. He was the chairman of the Management Board of Pomorie Foundation and of the Advisory Board on Economic Development and Growth Pomorie. In October 2019 Aleksiev won the local vote in the first round.
