A new pilot project in the capital will try out multi-faceted farming in a built-up setting as a source of food and environmental awareness
The Mayor of Sliven Municipality Stefan Radev was born on September 6, 1972 in Sliven. He studied at the Zahari Stoyanov high school. In 1995 he graduated from the University of Economics in Varna with a degree in Economics and Industrial Management. He has a master's degree in accounting from UNWE - Sofia.
He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2010. For more than ten years he has been the CEO and CFO of a large company. Until his assumption of office in 2015, as mayor of Sliven, he worked in the financial sphere as an auditor.
His first term of office was devoted to the financial stabilization of the municipality, implementation of large-scale but stalled infrastructure projects, innovation and reforms. In 2019, Stefan Radev was elected mayor for a second term.
