Krešo Beljak

Mayor of Samobor is Krešo Beljak. He graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Zagreb, majoring in geography, and later received the academic title of university specialist in foreign policy and diplomacy after completing his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Political Science. 

Krešo Beljak is the first mayor of Samobor elected for three consecutive terms and he is performing his duties voluntarily. Beljak is president of the Croatian Peasant Party.

Among the greatest achievements of Mayor Beljak is certainly the acquisition of the former Taborec Barracks, which the City of Samobor has arranged for socially useful purposes. In his work he is focused on young people, urbanization and modernization of the City of Samobor, which is considered one of the most successful Croatian cities today.
