Petra Škrobot

Petra Škrobot was born in Zagreb in 1988. She graduated from the Antun Gustav Matoš High School in Samobor and pursued higher education in Zagreb. That is, Škrobot obtained both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Zagreb. She further pursued doctoral study, earning a PhD in Economics and Business.

Before beginning her political career, she worked in sales and participated in numerous domestic and international projects. Putting herself forward as a mayoral candidate in 2021, Škrobot listed her aspirations for the City of Samobor. These included greater transparency and digitalisation of the city administration, better use of EU funds, improvement of tourism, better public transport, and the construction of a new kindergarten, among others.

Škrobot was elected Mayor of Samobor in May 2021.
