Mayor of Paphos is Phedonas Phedonos. He was born on June 18, 1978. He studied International and European Economic Studies at the Athens University of Economics and Business and holds a Master's degree in International and European Studies from the same University. He also holds a Law degree from Neapolis University.
Phedonos was the Paphos District Secretary of the Democratic Rally party from 2003 to 2012. He was elected as Municipal Councillor at Pafos Municipality in 2011. He served as a member of the Pafos Sewage Board and as Chairman of the Town Planning Municipal Committee (2012-2015). He was appointed by the Council of Ministers as member of the Board for the Examination of Departure Applications for the period 2012-2015.
He was elected Mayor of Paphos at the elections held on January 11, 2015 and was re-elected in December 18, 2016 for a five year term (2017-2021).
