Lauri Lyly

Mayor of Tampere is Lauri Lyly. He was born in Seinäjoki. Lyly believes that close cooperation between the City of Tampere and local companies, as the major employers, will create new workplaces for people and help economic development for the city.

The Mayor’s programme addresses internationalization in the field of education, too. The Mayor names the Tampere3 Project, a joint higher education project that brings together Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Tampere University of Technology and the University of Tampere as one of the innovative and effective ways of internationalisation.
