Alexandros Xrysafis

Mayor of Serres is Alexandros Xrysafis. He was born and raised in Serres. He graduated from Higher School of Commerce (ASEEE) - Athens University of Economics and Business, Department of Business Administration and Accounting, with postgraduate studies in mergers and business conversions. He is married and father of four.

Xrysafis is the founder and head of a large consulting firm in Serres, one of the largest in Northern Greece, with a successful professional background, specializing in tax and organizational business and finance. He is also the founder of Exelixis SA, which contributed to the implementation and integration of the bureaucratic system in most Municipalities of the Prefecture of Serres during the period 2002-2005.

Xrysafis served as a president of the Serres Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2002 to 2007. He also served as chairman of the Association of Accountants - Taxes of N. Serres for a number of years as well as chairman and member of the Board of Directors.

In June 2019 Xrysafis was elected Mayor of Serres.
