Grigoris Konstantellos

In 2010, "Kallikratis" combined the rich written literary tradition and history of Vari with the beauty of the garden-city that is Voula together with the unique natural aesthetics of Vouliagmeni.

These three municipalities created what might be the most gorgeous city in Greece.

Vari

It is located 26 kilometers south of the center of Athens.

It is constructed along the southern Hymettus mountains, very close to the Saronic shores.

Between these shores and the settlement, one can find Varkiza. In ancient times, the area of Vari was known as the " Anagyrountos ". Over there, one can find the Military School Evelpidon.

Voula

A southern suburb of Athens, it is built on the shores of the Saronic region, 25 kilometers south of the center of the city. Located between the areas of Glyfada and Vaouliagmeni. Administratively it is a part of the Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni municipality, its city hall is also located there. It's population, according to the census of 2011 is 28.364.

Vouliagmeni

It is a seaside settlement of Attica located 25 kilometers south of the center of Athens. It is built on the coast of the Saronic Gulf.

The former Municipality of Varis occupied an area of 22,189 sq km and had a population of 10,998 inhabitants according to the 2001 census.

The former Municipality of Voula also has its City Hall located there. Its population, according to the census of 2011 is 28.364.

Vouliagmeni is a seaside settlement of Attica located 25 kilometers south of the center of Athens. It is built on the coast of the Saronic Gulf. Administratively it belongs to the Municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni. Its population, according to the 2001 census is 6,442.

Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni is also called the "Athenian Riviera". There are many well-developed services, such as hotels, restaurants, bars and pubs, which operate at full capacity almost year-round.

Tourism

Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni is just at half an hour distance from Athens, the port of Piraeus and “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport – situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the “Athenian Riviera”.

Voula is a lovely area with parks and athletic centers, where the visitor may walk or bike ride along the seaside, or visit the inner area for shopping, food and coffee. The area also hosts the Nautical Athletic Club of Voula, one of the most important and active Sailing Clubs of Attica with its own port facilities, where visitors can have fun enjoying water sports activities.

At Varis – Koropiou Avenue visitors can find the area of “Vlachika”, a place full of Greek taverns of traditional tastes and barbeque dishes as well as dairy products.

In Vouliagmeni the options are limitless - numerous beaches suited for all tastes and Vouliagmeni Lake with its thermal springs. There are several choices for food and drink, from the fish taverns at Kavouri area to the mainstream restaurants, gelaterias and coffee shops at Laimos and Vouliagmeni areas. On the hill over Vouliagmeni Lake the area named “Faskomilia” is ideal for trekking and mountain biking.

Varkiza is a beautiful area that looks like an island. It has a beautiful little fisherman’s harbor, sandy beaches, rest areas and a nice promenade along the coastline. As an area next to the sea it also has an organized Nautical Club specializing in water sports such as sailing, wind surfing and kayaking.
