Flavio Stasi

Flavio Stasi was born in Rossano in 1983. He is a Computer Engineer.

Since a very young age, he started dealing with important issues and fighting against corruption and organized crime, for the defense of the territory and the environmental protection.

In 2012 he was one of the founders of "Terra e Popolo", an association created with the aim of stimulating the development of  Southern Italy, that will later become point of reference for many  institutions for facing the slow but steady loss of public services in Calabria as all the long-distance trains, closure of hospitals and courts, leading him to take important actions such as the hunger strike.

In 2016, Stasi was elected as municipal councilor, a position he holds until 2018 when the Municipalities of Rossano and Corigliano Calabro decided to become a new and unique city, that of Corigliano-Rossano.

In 2019, he ran as mayor in the first elections of the new municipality of Corigliano-Rossano and on 9 June  he was elected in the ballot with 72% of the votes as the first mayor of the new city.
