Beniamino Maschietto

The mayor of Fondi is Beniamino Maschietto. He was born on 16 November 1951 in the same city.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1976, he specializes in anesthesiology-resuscitation and analgesic therapy. He has worked for many years as an anesthesiologist in both public and private facilities and currently carries out basic medicine activities in the area.

Since 1994 he has consistently been elected municipal councilor of Fondi in the civic list "Litorale & Sviluppo Fondano", holding the position of Councilor for Tourism and the Environment over these years.

Already Councilor at the XVI Montana uCommunity, in the 2015-2020 Council he assumed the position of Vice Mayor and Councilor for Culture, School Policies, Tourism and State Property.

Following the Mayor Salvatore De Meo’s election as a member of the European Parliament and his simultaneous stepping down from the position of local leader, Maschietto took over the city’s administration on 27 February 2020 as a temporary holder of the office and its functions.
