Nelly Kalfs

Nelly Kalfs has been the Mayor of Lingewaard since September 2020. She was nominated on 7 July by the Lingewaard City Council to take over the post, succeeding Josan Meijers.

Kalfs’s latest occupation was as a chief engineer-director at Rijkswaterstaat-East which she held since March 2016. Before that, she worked for the Municipality of Amsterdam (as head of traffic research), the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (program manager accessibility) and as director of Stichting Kijkonderzoek.
