Gonçalo Lopes
Gonçalo Lopes was born in Leiria in 1975. He has a degree in Economics from ISEG - Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão in Lisbon and has worked as a consultant and in management in the areas of agriculture, investment and tourism. He has also taught at different educational institutions over the years.
Gonçalo Lopes was elected mayor in 2019 after the previous mayor of Leiria Municipality, Raul Castro, renounced his post.
