Călin Bibarţ

Mayor of Arad is Călin Bibarţ. He was elected interim mayor of Arad in June 2019, having previously served as a deputy mayor of the city. Before that, he was prefect of Arad Count and director of the National Forests Authority.

He is also the first vice-president of the National Liberal Party’s municipal organization. He ran for a new term as mayor of Arad in the September 2020 Romanian local elections. His stated main objectives are to continue implementing the already started projects and initiate new ones for the benefit of Arad inhabitants. 

On 27 September 2020, Călin Bibarţ was elected mayor of Arad.
