Iulian Sîrbu

Mayor of Sighișoara is Iulian Sîrbu. He was born on 11 May 1979 in Sighișoara. 

Sîrbu has graduated from the "Joseph Haltrich" Theoretical High School from Sighișoara with a profile in chemistry and biology. He has also attended  “Dimitrie Cantemir” University of Târgu Mureș, going to receive recognition as a  tourist-guide agent, after which he obtained operating patents in tourism for touring and catering agencies.

Iulian Sîrbu has also graduated the "Simion Barnutiu" Faculty of Law within the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu and boasts a degree in public administration.

During the 2012-2016 mandate, he was a member of the Sighișoara Local Council, representing the Independent Union for Sighișoara (U.I.P.S.).

On 27 September 2020, Iulian Sîrbu was elected mayor of Sighișoara.
