Borut Sajovic

Mayor of Tržič is Borut Sajovic. He was born on 18 July 1960 in Kranj. He graduated with honours from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where he completed his master's degree in 1988. Sajovic is married and a father of two children.

For over 20 years he has been doing field veterinary work in and around Tržič. For many years he was a municipal councilor and president of the local community of Kovor. Today he is the mayor of the Municipality of Tržič and, among other things, a veteran of the war for Slovenia.

In his spare time, he pays great attention to acting in many societies and the local community. As a nature lover, he is at the same time a reliable environmentalist, a small organic farmer and a beekeeper. He is a tireless athlete who participates in triathlons and marathons. He also plays team sports such as basketball and hockey.
