Jordi Ballart was born in Terrassa on February 8, 1980. He has a degree in Political Science and Administration from the Autonomous University in Barcelona. He has also studied at the Lanaspa Public School and the Nicolau Copernicus Institute.
Ballart also studied music and violin at the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Terrassa and was part of the Conservatory Choir and its Youth Orchestra.
Jordi Ballart joined the City Council in 2005 and was mayor of Terrassa between 2012 and 2017. He has also been a Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning and Territory, as well as Councillor for Urban Planning, Public Works, Mobility, Public Roads and Citizen Security.
He won the municipal elections of May 26, 2019 and became mayor of Terrassa for another term.
