European Research and Innovation Days 2021 programme is out

People from all over the world can attend the event online on 23 and 24 June

The European Commission announced that it will host its European Research and Innovation Days on 23 and 24 June this summer. This annual event has been designed with the aim of bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs as well as the public in order to discuss the future of research and innovation.

According to the European Commission, the European Research and Innovation Days are all about collaboration. Moreover, as the event will be held virtually, people from all over the world are invited to attend and share their ideas.

The programme for the event has now been released

On its website, the European Commission outlines the programme for the days of the event, noting that one can create their own programme by choosing which sessions to attend. Taking this further, these sessions range from “high-level plenaries to immersive panel discussions”. What is more, they cover various topics including post-COVID recovery, the European Research Area as well as the digital and green transition.

To mark the beginning of the European Research and Innovation Days, one can tune in to the opening ceremony at 9 am on 23 June. Following this, they can follow and attend live sessions throughout the day until 6 pm. Sessions then resume at 9 am on the next day and the event concludes at 6 pm.

It is important to note that one can also choose to take part in workshops where they will be able to discuss research and innovation alongside thousands of other attendees from around the world. All workshops have a limit of 3,000 attendees and it is, therefore, crucial that you reserve a spot if you are interested in attending.

The full programme can be viewed on the website of the European Commission.
