2019 CEF Transport call for proposals is now accepting applications

Over 100 million euro available for funding of your transport projects

The European Commission launches a new call for project proposals in the field of transportation. The Actions which will be funded under the 2019 Connecting Europe Facility Transport call are expected to benefit directly to the achievement of essential transport policy objectives, such as: improved interconnection of national transport networks or facilitated functioning of the internal market and more efficient usage of transport, in terms of environmental impact and climate change.

Grants will be distributed under two priorities:

  • 65 million euro for proposals falling into the Comprehensive Network, aiming to remove bottlenecks and bridge missing links, to enhance rail interoperability, and, in particular, improving cross-border sections
  • 35 million euro for Rail Freight Noise Ensuring sustainable and efficient transport systems in the long run, with a view to preparing for expected future transport flows, as well as enabling all modes of transport to be decarbonised through transition to innovative low-carbon and energy-efficient transport technologies, while optimising safety

The eligible applicants are:

  • Member states or
  • With the agreement of the Member State(s) concerned, international organisations, joint undertakings, or public or private undertakings or bodies established in an EU Member State

The Connecting Europe Facility 2019 call for proposals was opened for applications in January and will be expecting your project proposals before 24 April 2019 at 17:00 Brussels time.
