Helbiz è il primo operatore di micromobilità nella città
“I monopattini elettrici piacciono ai pescaresi”, hanno confermato dal commune Italino. Dopo aver ottenuto un permesso esclusivo, Helbiz è l'unico operatore di micromobilità che fornisce monopattini elettrici alla capitale della regione Abruzzo. A Pescara gia sono operativi 500 e-mezzi, con partenza positiva nei primi giorni.
Nei primi due giorni la micromobilità individuale ha fatto registrare i seguenti dati di utilizzo: 3374 accessi, in media1687 al giorno, 70,3 l'ora calcolati sull'intera giornata, notte compresa; 7236 i chilometri complessivi con una media di 2,14 chilometri per tragitto. Il percorso più lungo è stato di 7,2 chilometri, il più corto di 300 metri. Secondo i dati diffusi dalla società, il Roi in termini di inquinamento è stato 12.814, 8 kg di Co2 in meno.
Anche il sindaco di Pescara, Carlo Masci, ha provato i nuovi scooter elettrici. Lui ha affermato che: "La nostra amministrazione ha posto la mobilità sostenibile e la micromobilità in primo piano nella nostra agenda e accogliere Helbiz è un primo passo importante per fare questo cambiamento culturale di sostenibilità per la nostra città".

L'amministrazione comunale tiene a precisare anche che, dopo i primi giorni di adattamento al nuovo servizio, ci sarà un giro di vite sulla tolleranza rispetto a eventuali comportamenti scorretti. I monopattini devono rispettare le regole che il codice della strada prevede per le biciclette, ma con ulteriori limitazioni relativamente alla velocità - 20 chilometri orari e 6 in area pedonale.
Riguardo all'età per l'utilizzo, a bordo non possono salire ragazzi al di sotto dei 14 anni e per i minorenni è obbligatorio indossare il casco. Non si può naturalmente viaggiare in due su un monopattino.
