The number of bike lanes will double

Pollution deceased by 30% when the French capital banned cars with even-numbered plates only for a day in 2014. The city is now planning an even more extensive. Authorities want to put a ban on cars entering the city center. Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, also plans to double the bike lanes and allow only electric cars to enter particular streets. This is only a part of Paris’ attempts to make smaller, short-term efforts to reduse emissions.

Cars produced before 1997 are not permitted to drive in the city center on weekdays. They are allowed to enter the downtown area, though, only in the weekends.
