Un código QR lleva a los caminantes al año 1391 y muestra el contorno del antiguo barrio judío
Hay una nueva atracción en el distrito Casco Antiguo de Sevilla, pero para verla tendrá que usar su teléfono inteligente. La remodelación reciente de Mateos Gago Street implicó la colocación de placas de información con un código QR en el suelo. Estas señales están destinadas a ayudar al espectador a visualizar dónde se encontraba la muralla del antiguo barrio judío hace más de 600 años.
La remodelación de la calle Mateos Gago ha incorporado así las huellas del pasado, delimitando el trazado y ancho de lo que fue un muro que formaba parte del lienzo existente en la calle Fabiola y que encerraba unas quince hectáreas de terreno. Su desaparición está fechada en el año 1391. En 1991 se realizó allí una excavación y el perfil histórico de la muralla se utilizó en las obras de remodelación emprendidas en 2020 por el Ayuntamiento.
“En Mateos Gago hemos realizado una reurbanización respetuosa con la historia y el patrimonio de la ciudad y que se enmarca en el objetivo de lograr una ciudad más accesible, saludable y habitable. Incorporamos además por primera vez este modelo de información histórica sobre la vía al alcance de cualquier persona”, ha explicado el delegado de Hábitat Urbano, Turismo y Cultura, Antonio Muñoz, al realizar un recorrido por la zona.
El escaneo de los códigos QR de las placas informativas permitirá al visitante acceder a una breve descripción histórica de la muralla y del barrio de Santa Cruz elaborada por el especialista Alfonso Jiménez. Los funcionarios también explicaron que la calle se había reorganizado de tal manera que se limitaba el uso de la vía solo a los vehículos autorizados y, como resultado, se proporcionaba más espacio para los peatones.
