La Concejalía de Acción Social de Alicante ha comenzado el nuevo año con buen pie informando a la ciudadanía que su Servicio de Ayuda a Domicilio (SAD), que presta atención domiciliaria a enfermos y personas mayores necesitadas, se ha dotado de un nuevo presupuesto y una nueva contrato para los próximos 3 años
Actualmente, este servicio ayuda a 755 beneficiarios en la ciudad española y el presupuesto reservado solo para el año en curso asciende a 2,6 millones de euros.
Las autoridades pertinentes también han informado que el SAD ha actualizado sus equipos técnicos y capacidades para responder mejor a las necesidades de sus clientes. Eso significa que en las últimas semanas se han adquirido más elevadores ortopédicos, camas y sillas articuladas, respaldos regulables y sillas de ruedas.
“El Servicio de Ayuda a Domicilio es una de las prestaciones principales que despliega la concejalía Acción Social en apoyo de personas mayores, dependientes, además de determinadas familias necesitadas, con el fin de contribuir a una existencia más llevadera y que sigan residiendo en sus domicilios, en su propio barrio, en un medio conocido, lo que evita su derivación a centros de asistencia - residencias”, ha dicho Julia Llopis, la concejala de Acción Social.
El HHS brinda servicios integrales que van más allá de la salud, la terapia y la higiene. Estos también incluyen la limpieza de la casa, la compra de comestibles, la preparación de comidas y el acompañamiento en las salidas fuera del hogar, como para hacer paseos.
Es por eso que el SAD está dividido en tres áreas: personal, doméstica y educativa. Este último está dirigido a personas que necesitan pautas de hábitos diarios, horarios, dietas adecuadas, etc.
Ante la pandemia del COVID-19 se ha incrementado la demanda de este tipo de servicios, lo que a su vez ha provocado que la administración local solicite un mayor apoyo económico al Generalitat de la Comunidad Valenciana.
