Ante el aumento de los precios de la electricidad, las autoridades de la ciudad comienzan a desconectarse de la red
El 13 de agosto, el Ayuntamiento de Alicante informó que tiene previsto reducir su consumo eléctrico tradicional en un abrumador 26% a partir del próximo año. Esto será posible gracias al giro definitivo hacia la autosuficiencia en 30 edificios y solares municipales.
Para ello, y por un precio de casi 1 millón de euros, las autoridades comenzarán con la instalación de paneles solares fotovoltaicos en las propiedades municipales. Según los informes, todo el proceso de instalación tardará seis meses en completarse.
La iniciativa ya se encuentra en fase de licitación. No proporcionará almacenamiento de energía eléctrica, pero tendrá un sistema para medir y registrar datos solares e información de producción y consumo de energía en las propiedades.
Los sitios abarcan toda la gama de edificios municipales, incluyendo oficinas, mercados, centros comunitarios, polideportivos, instalaciones sanitarias y bomberos, entre otros.
Con este ambicioso proyecto, el Ayuntamiento verá reducido el consumo de energía importada de la red de 612.701 kWh / año a 454.120 kWh / año. Una disminución del 26% que se sumará al ahorro en la factura de la luz que desde hace un año prevé el plan de autosuficiencia energética de Alicante para los colegios de la localidad.
“Es un gran proyecto para potenciar la sostenibilidad y el ahorro energético en nuestra ciudad, ahora que los precios del kilowatio por hora se han disparado y triplican a los de hace un año”, ha explicado el concejal de Infraestructuras, José Ramón González.
Ha concluido: “El Ayuntamiento da así un paso más en su apuesta por la sostenibilidad y mejora de la eficiencia energética, en colaboración en este caso con el Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica”.
Un movimiento audaz y un buen ejemplo de las autoridades urbanas liderando el camino en la transición energética hacia fuentes alternativas.
