Attend the largest interdisciplinary meeting on science and innovation in Europe

It starts today and runs until 14 July in Toulouse, France

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) will be present at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Toulouse with an exciting programme combining science talks, workshops, TED type talks and Pecha Kucha presentations. ESOF is the largest interdisciplinary science meeting in Europe. Dedicated to scientific research and innovation. EuroScience Open Forum 2018 promotes dialogue on the role of science and technology in society and public policy. ESOF brings the latest scientific innovation and discovery to a global audience and offers a unique framework for interaction and debate for scientists, innovators, policy makers, business people and the general public.

Created in 2004 by EuroScience, this biennial European forum brings together over  4 000 researchers, educators, business actors, policy makers and journalists from all over the world to discuss breakthroughs in science. More than 40% of the participants are students and young researchers. The JRC offers activities at ESOF 2018 and "Science in the City" to bring together scientists, the media and the general public, including tourists in and citizens of Toulouse. In a wide range of activities and presentations, you will be informed about the role of science in policy making. Registration is open until 09 July 2018.
