The Palace of Monserrate will host the cinema cycle “Splendor in the Grass” from August 3 to 26
From 3rd until 26th of August citizens and visitors of Sintra will have the opportunity to enjoy an open air cinema in the park and the palace of Monserrate. Sintra is hosting the cinema cycle “Splendor in the Grass” that features twenty masterpieces from the history of cinema over four weekends.Tickets range from 3.5 Euros (from 6 to 18 years) to 5 Euros, and during the sessions the Palace will also be open for viewing.
The film sessions starts every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 21:30. To be even more exciting, every Saturday at midnight there will be a surprise session where the name of the projected movie will be revealed in the last moment. On Sundays afternoon, the cycle is dedicated to the youngest and the films will be projected in the auditorium of the palace, at 16.00.
