Una nueva plataforma, basada en el concepto de circularidad, servirá como punto focal
El 29 de abril, la Consejería de Transición Energética y Sectores Productivos de Baleares puso en marcha el proyecto 'LOOP, Diseño y Circularidad' con el objetivo de impulsar el diseño creativo y la investigación de nuevos materiales como factores estratégicos que puedan hacer más competitivas a las empresas autonómicas. El proyecto va acompañado de una plataforma online, que muestra los diferentes ejemplos de personas y empresas que trabajan en estos campos.
El propósito de 'LOOP, Design and Circularity' es fomentar el uso de materias primas más sostenibles, la investigación de nuevos materiales innovadores y la búsqueda de soluciones que requieran recursos más sostenibles para lograr la funcionalidad y calidad de los productos tradicionales. Además, los fabricantes y productores deben trabajar junto con las industrias creativas para concebir nuevos productos, nuevos modelos de negocio y nuevas formas de hacer y pensar, contribuyendo así a rediseñar el entorno.
“Hablamos de una alianza estratégica entre fabricantes y profesionales del diseño, que refuerza nuestro tejido industrial. Empresas que buscan a través del diseño y uso de materiales más sostenibles el elemento que las hace diferentes y más competitivas a nivel internacional", ha dicho Juan Pedro Yllanes, vicepresidente del gobierno regional. "Estamos impulsando una industria creativa desde el tejido local, que queremos quedarnos en nuestro hogar, crecer y generar nuevas oportunidades laborales. Esta es la diversificación de nuestro modelo económico”.
La iniciativa ya cuenta con la participación de una decena de empresas y profesionales, sin embargo, es probable que crezca en número ya que se espera que más pymes se sumen en fases posteriores. También se informó que la investigación en nuevos materiales se realizará en colaboración con la Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB).
