La web municipal de Barcelona informa que se ha iniciado la instalación de taquillas frigoríficas inteligentes en 6 mercados de la ciudad y 4 aparcamientos B: SM vinculados a otros mercados como proyecto piloto. El objetivo es reducir el hacinamiento y brindar más flexibilidad tanto a los vendedores como a los compradores mediante la introducción del concepto de espera cero para las compras de alimentos en el mercado. También posibilita la compra de alimentos después del cierre de los mercados.
Las instalaciones incluidas en esta prueba son Ninot, Sants, Llibertat, Concepción, Lesseps y Provençals. Los aparcamientos se encuentran en los mercados de La Boquería, Sant Antoni, Sagrada Família y Guinardó.
Esta iniciativa se enmarca en un plan de digitalización del mercado y consiste en la instalación de taquillas refrigeradas, de entre 2 y 8 grados centígrados, con compartimentos individuales e interfaz digital para que los clientes realicen pedidos de los comercios para ser recogidos posteriormente de forma cómoda, rápida y segura. Se trata de taquillas digitales inteligentes, conectadas a Internet y que cuentan con una plataforma tecnológica que las gestiona y monitoriza. Tendrán 18, 28 o 38 compartimentos individuales.
Esta nueva iniciativa se gestionará a través de un portal web de reservas (denominado Marketplace, y que se lanzará en primavera) donde los comerciantes o los servicios de envío reservarán las taquillas el mismo día o para fechas futuras, siempre que haya disponibilidad. Además, las instalaciones contarán con un servicio de atención al cliente y minorista que estará operativo de lunes a viernes de 9 a 21 horas y los sábados de 9 a 15 horas.
La misma aplicación comunicará automáticamente los diferentes estados del ciclo de vida de un pedido y el mensaje incluirá el gabinete de entrega, la fecha, la ruta de entrega y su ubicación, códigos de recogida y depósito, y estado del pedido. Todas las comunicaciones se enviarán por correo electrónico y, cuando se realice un pedido, también se enviará un SMS al cliente con el código de recogida.
