Esfuerzo continuo para ampliar la inclusión de pasajeros con discapacidad visual
TMB, la autoridad de transporte público de Barcelona, ha iniciado un nuevo capítulo en su esfuerzo por proporcionar más autonomía funcional e inclusión a sus clientes con discapacidad visual. La última actuación consiste en la colocación de pegatinas en alto relieve con señalización en braille indicando información de utilidad para los usuarios.
Estas pegatinas resistentes al desgaste se colocan como prueba piloto para estudiar su eficacia. Algunos de ellos están situados en las barandillas de acceso a los vestíbulos y andenes de dos estaciones de metro, Rocafort (L1) y Universitat (L1-L2).
Otros se colocan en paradas de autobús seleccionadas de varios formatos (pabellón, poste, poste solar). Las paradas de autobús en cuestión son Plaça Espanya - FGC, Gran Via - Llançà y Plaça dels Països Catalans - Estación de Sants. La señalización en braille incluye el código y el nombre de la parada, las paradas y el destino.
Los viajeros con discapacidad visual de Barcelona ya pueden contar con varias herramientas de la red de TMB, como rutas táctiles, megafonía en estaciones y trenes, braille y altorrelieve en los botones de ascensores y máquinas expendedoras con sistema de navegación por voz y señalización escaneable con etiquetas NaviLens.
Estas etiquetas inteligentes también están disponibles en las paradas de autobús, al igual que el sistema de guía de radiobaliza. Además, en los vehículos también hay carteles en Braille y avisos sonoros de la próxima parada.
Sin embargo, las autoridades quieren hacer más para ampliar la inclusión de los usuarios con discapacidad visual, de modo que puedan lograr una total autonomía en el uso de las instalaciones de transporte público en la capital catalana.
Los planificadores de la prueba piloto han recabado la opinión de asociaciones de personas con discapacidad visual para maximizar la utilidad y las características de las pegatinas. Además de asegurarse de que el material vinílico del que están hechos sea resistente a las tareas de limpieza y otras fuentes de desgaste.
