Gracias a la extensa red de carriles bici, conocidos localmente como bidegorris
Si estás a punto de hacer un viaje de menos de 8 kilómetros en la provincia vasca de Bizkaia, tu mejor y más eficiente opción de transporte probablemente sea la bicicleta. Esa transformación en movilidad ha sido posible gracias a la construcción de una extensa red de carriles bici en el territorio foral.
Aún así, muchos de los residentes locales pueden desconocer este hecho, aún no están seguros de su veracidad o simplemente necesitan un suave empujón para deshacerse del automóvil y comenzar a pedalear. Por eso, la Consejería Provincial de Transporte y Movilidad está lanzando una campaña para iluminar esta infraestructura y fomentar algunos hábitos nuevos en el proceso.
Los carriles bici se conocen como bidegorris, en euskera, lo que es una aclaración necesaria para poder explicar el nombre de la campaña 'Bidegorritu Zaitez - Bidegorriate'. La campaña también ha cobrado relevancia a raíz de la pandemia, siendo la bicicleta el modelo de transporte más sostenible y ecológico existente, permitiendo a una persona realizar un trayecto individual en el que se mantiene la distancia de seguridad con respecto a los demás. En los últimos meses, las bicicletas se han convertido en el medio de transporte de más rápido crecimiento entre la población.
“La amplia red de bidegorris existente en Bizkaia y la proximidad entre municipios, hace que la bicicleta se convierta en la opción más conveniente a la hora de completar distancias inferiores a ocho kilómetros, sustituyendo a otros vehículos motorizados como el coche o la moto”, ha destacado el diputado de Transporte y Movilidad Sostenible, Miguel Ángel Gómez Viar.
“Además, la red de transporte de autobuses, metro y tranvía de Bizkaia ofrece una fácil combinación con la bicicleta para aquellos desplazamientos superiores a ocho kilómetros”.
La campaña en sí tendrá una duración de 15 días y el foco será tanto en medios offline, como prensa local, radio, carpas de Bizkaibus y canales online, como anuncios, vídeos en redes sociales y banners. Además, las autoridades han anunciado el lanzamiento de una aplicación, llamada Mugi On, una especie de accesorio de la campaña. Ayudará a los usuarios de micromovilidad (bicicletas y scooters) con información de seguridad relevante y consejos prácticos.
