Se agregarán tres nuevos helipuertos a la red regional
El Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha convocó el pasado 10 de junio la construcción de tres nuevos helipuertos para uso de los servicios de urgencias médicas. Esta noticia solo afirma el liderazgo de la región española, en términos de prestación de ese tipo de servicio sofisticado, a escala europea. Los nuevos helipuertos estarán ubicados en las localidades de Campillo de Ranas (provincia de Guadalajara), Espinoso del Rey (provincia de Toledo) y Viveros (provincia de Albacete).
Las nuevas infraestructuras de transporte aéreo sanitario estarán equipadas con las máximas medidas de seguridad exigidas por la Agencia Española de Seguridad Aérea (AESA) para su uso por helicópteros sanitarios.
Así, contarán con una pista de aterrizaje y despegue construida sobre pavimentos de losa de hormigón y aglomerado asfáltico. Estos también estarán marcados e iluminados para uso nocturno y equipados con un indicador visual de la dirección y velocidad del viento.
Habrá una estación meteorológica automática que envía información cada diez minutos al centro de coordinación del 112 sobre temperatura, intensidad del viento, dirección del viento, presión atmosférica, humedad del aire, visibilidad y precipitaciones.
Asimismo, habrá cámaras de video y sonido que permitirán a 112 operadores y al piloto ver las condiciones del helipuerto en tiempo real. Todo este equipo se gestionará desde el centro 112 a través de una conexión telefónica, o desde el propio helicóptero a través del equipo de radio.
Además de su uso por helicópteros médicos de emergencia, este tipo de infraestructura puede ser utilizado por aeronaves de cualquier otra institución pública y servicios sanitarios de otras comunidades autónomas en caso de necesidad.
La red de transporte aéreo sanitario de Castilla-La Mancha está formada por 216 helipuertos y helipuertos exclusivamente sanitarios, a los que hay que sumar también 17 aeródromos y helipuertos forestales, que también pueden utilizarse para servicios sanitarios. A las tres nuevas que ya se han licitado se sumarán próximamente dos más en las localidades de San Lorenzo de Calatrava y Bolaños de Calatrava, en la provincia de Ciudad Real.
El servicio médico aéreo regional se caracteriza por haber habilitado una disponibilidad ininterrumpida las 24 horas del día en toda la región. Para garantizar esta operación, se consideró necesario disponer de helipuertos y puntos de contacto distribuidos por todo el territorio con el objetivo de minimizar el tiempo de traslado de los pacientes críticos.
