Esta tarde, el nuevo presidente de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonés, ha ofrecido una rueda de prensa en la que ha anunciado el endurecimiento de las medidas ya existentes en la comunidad autónoma por el continuo repunte de las tasas de contagio. El más drástico de ellos se refiere al sector de la hostelería, ya que durante los próximos 15 días, a partir de mañana 15 de octubre, todos los establecimientos de comida y bebida cerrarán. La única excepción a esto son los hoteles que atienden a sus clientes y los comedores sociales. Sin embargo, las entregas de alimentos a casa seguirán estando disponibles.
El nuevo presidente de Cataluña, que asumió el cargo el 28 de septiembre tras la destitución de Quim Torra por el Tribunal Supremo, calificó la imposición de estas medidas de difícil pero necesaria para evitar la vuelta aún más dura al bloqueo total.
Si bien los hoteles podrán continuar brindando servicios de alimentación a sus clientes, también se les solicita que limiten su ocupación a la mitad. También se ofrecerán servicios limitados por los centros comerciales y pequeñas tiendas, que tendrán que limitar la entrada al 30% de su capacidad, o si eso no es posible solo dejar entrar un cliente a la vez.
Los establecimientos de más de 400 m2 deberán garantizar un acceso controlado en sus entradas. Tanto las reuniones públicas como las privadas no deberían incluir más de 6 personas y, siempre que sea posible, debería posibilitarse el teletrabajo.
Con todo, el presidente catalán aconsejó a los ciudadanos que evitaran en la medida de lo posible las reuniones sociales, ya que se consideraba que eran las que más habían contribuido al aumento de las infecciones. El señor Aragonés espera que los ciudadanos aprecien la gravedad de la situación y eviten que se repitan las pérdidas de vidas que se produjeron durante la primavera.
