Le Sac Mobile vise à connecter les gens tout en contribuant à l’économie circulaire. Le projet permet aux citoyens de se débarrasser de leurs téléphones et appareils mobiles non utilisés d’une manière intelligente et durable. Une fois déposés auprès de leur commune, les appareils commencent un nouveau voyage: ceux qui sont toujours utilisables seront réparés et distribués aux personnes dans le besoin par l’ONG Digital Inclusion, tandis que le reste sera démonté dans les ateliers eReUse par Caritas Luxembourg et sera recyclé.
La campagne vise à remettre les ressources en circulation, à créer de l’emploi et des opportunités à apprendre, ainsi que à faciliter l’accès à la technologie aux personnes démunis. Jusqu’aujourd’hui, plus de 8000 appareils ont été collectés.
Les appareils mobiles peuvent être déposés librement, même sans chargeurs ni périphérie, dans les emplacements prévus (généralement des bâtiments municipaux, liste complète disponible sur caritas.lu). Cependant, l’essentiel est d’éliminer toutes les données personnelles de l’appareil, grâce auxquelles le propriétaire précédent pourrait être identifié. Par conséquent, avant de le laisser, il est conseillé aux propriétaires de rétablir les paramètres d'usine et de retirer les cartes SIM ou les cartes mémoire, sans quoi cela sera fait par du personnel autorisé.
