On 5 September 2023, TheMayor.EU invites you to join our informative and interactive webinar called “Efficient Waste Management in Cities: From Trash to Treasure”. This insightful event, organized together with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and in partnership with ICLEI Europe, will be especially beneficial to anyone involved in solving challenges of urban development. More specifically – those seeking ways to implement better waste management practices that lead to more fitting utilization of resources.
The webinar will take place 10:00 – 11:00 (CET) online. Access is free but registration is required on this link. All registered participants will receive a Zoom link which gives them the chance to follow the event live and ask questions.
Clocking at 60 minutes, it will nevertheless be packed with helpful knowledge, such as tried and tested practices from European cities, a moderated discussion and a Q&A session. The latter will be local representatives from European administrations with proven track record in sustainable waste management. A European Investment Bank representative will also outline the funding opportunities for climate-friendly projects, which are available to local governments and businesses.
The debate will be moderated by Nikolai Jacobi, Senior Officer for Energy, Material & Built Infrastructure at ICLEI Europe. Mr. Jacobi has solid experience as a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology in Vienna working on Material Flow Analysis (MFA) and circular economy research.
