Frederiksberg will hold an Electric Car Day in August

This is part of the municipality’s efforts to become Denmark’s Electric Car City No. 1

On 5 August, the Danish Municipality of Frederiksberg will host an Electric Car Day in collaboration with the Danish Electric Car Alliance. All of the city’s residents are now officially invited to attend this event where they can learn more about the benefits and features of electric vehicles.

More specifically, attendees will be able to view the latest models of electric cars and the municipality will publicly exhibit some of its own green vehicles. Taking this further, residents will also have the opportunity to talk to manufacturers, drivers and representatives from the City of Frederiksberg to gain more knowledge about electric cars.

Denmark’s Electric Car City No. 1

On multiple occasions and in various ways, Frederiksberg has proven that it is committed to becoming a green and sustainable city. Taking a case in point, one of its ambitious goals is to become Denmark’s Electric Car City No. 1.  This vision, among numerous others, is outlined in the municipality’s electric car strategy.

In addition to this, Frederiksberg is working on guaranteeing that there are no more than 250 metres from any given point to a charging station. With the supply and installation of sufficient charging infrastructure, more and more people will be encouraged to switch to green vehicles.

Mayor Simon Aggesen encourages everyone to attend the municipality’s Electric Car Day: “Frederiksberg is a green and sustainable city, and we emphasise this, among other things, with our vision of becoming Denmark's Electric Car City No. 1 and the goal of a charging guarantee. It must be attractive to choose the electric car, and therefore it must also be easy to park and charge your electric car. At the same time, it is important to engage and involve everyone who lives and moves in the city, and that is one of the reasons why the municipality invites you to Electric Car Day.”
