The city will restore their protective coating before returning them

On Wednesday 24 November, the City of Prague removed four wooden statues from the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square. The capital carries out this action every 2-3 years to renew their protective coating, which otherwise degrades over time due to extreme weather conditions.

After two months, when the city restores the statues, it will return them to their rightful places and remove four others.

See the gallery above to view photographs of their removal.
